Auli Tour
The Ski Capital of India
Heavily crowded between the months of December to March, Auli is an internationally famed skiing destination. Auli is an ideal winter resort located 16 km from Joshimath. The place offers a panoramic view of Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi (7817 m), Kamet (7756 m), Mana Parvat (7273 m) and Dunagiri (7066 m). The major attraction at Auli is a 3 km long slope ranging from a height of 2519 m to 3049 m.
The skiing resort at Auli is run and maintained by Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN). The authority organizes various skiing contests and provides good facilities for skiers to promote the sport. Apart from that, National Championships are also organized in the months of February and March by the Winter Games Federation Of India. For Amateur, various training courses are conducted in modules of 7-14 days. These are proper certificate courses and are conducted in the months of January-March.
Skiing authorities at Auli provide modern ski equipments to the skiers. People are advised to bring heavy woolen clothes, dark glasses, gum/snow boots and a torch for personal use. Auli's wonderful slopes, and world class facilities have made it comparable to the best in the world.

By Air
Jolly Grant (Dehradun) is the nearest airport, 270 km from Joshimath and 17 km from Rishikesh.
By Rail
Haridwar (299 km) is the nearest major railhead connecting Howrah-Dehradun, Delhi-Dehradun and Mumbai-Dehradun.
By Road
Auli is easily accessible by local trnsport union and state transport buses that are operated regularly to Rishikesh (253 km), Haridwar (277km), Dehradun (298 km) and Delhi (500 km).
